SAF and its e-newsletters provide information from
a variety of sources that would otherwise be
difficult for most readers to uncover. In
addition, SAF offers original materials such as
essays and more. Since its launch in 2002, the
response to this resource has been tremendous.
Tens of thousands of interested readers have also
signed up to receive the (free) SAF e-newsletter.
Moreover, SAF and SUSRIS, a companion Web site are
routinely cited by major international media as a
news source.

2005
marked the 60th anniversary of President Franklin
D. Roosevelt's meeting with Saudi King Abdulaziz
ibn Saud on board the USS Quincy in the Red Sea.
Since then, the relationship has evolved through
times of quiet and turmoil. SAF and SUSRIS
endeavor to provide information and resources that
enable a clear assessment of this relationship as
well as contribute to a better understanding
between the people of the United States and Saudi
Arabia.
SAF
and SUSRIS are public services under the aegis of
the National Council on US-Arab Relations
(NCUSAR), a non-profit, educational organization
in Washington, DC. For more about NCUSAR click
