Faced with growing unemployment and the scourge of home-grown terrorism, Saudi Arabia is grappling with ways to reform its economy for the 21st century. The Kingdom expects to generate more than $600 billion in privatization opportunities in the coming decade, and private sector leaders are aggressively encouraging increased transparency, better business practices, and free and fair competition. At this sensitive juncture in U.S.-Saudi relations, will U.S. involvement help or hinder the process?
